Diablo 4 Endgame Build Stats: U4GM Guide

Endgame tuning starts with the way your character actually deals damage, not with a random list of popular affixes. Your class’s main stat should usually be the first checkpoint because it raises skill output and can improve Paragon bonuses at the same time. From there, look at your core skill: does it hit often, build a resource, rely on critical strikes, or apply Vulnerable? That answer tells you which stats deserve space on your gear. When comparing D4 items, it is easy to chase a high number and miss the stat that makes your rotation work.
Match Damage Stats to Your Skill Pattern
Critical Strike Chance is excellent only when your build can use it often. If a skill hits several targets or attacks rapidly, each extra point has more chances to matter. Critical Strike Damage becomes stronger after your chance is reliable, rather than sitting at a level where critical hits happen only now and then. The same idea applies to Vulnerable Damage. It is worth prioritising when your skills apply Vulnerable consistently; otherwise, a plain damage increase may perform better in real fights. Multiplicative bonuses marked with [X] can be especially powerful, but check the condition attached to them before replacing a useful stat.
Check the Numbers During a Real Run
Tooltips can point you in the right direction, but a short run through difficult content tells you more. Watch what happens when your resource drops, when a cooldown is unavailable, and when an elite survives your opening attack. Those moments reveal the weak link. Keep notes on a few practical details.
How quickly your main skill becomes available again.
Whether your resource remains stable during a full rotation.
How often critical hits and Vulnerable effects appear.
Which attacks force you to stop dealing damage and retreat.Defensive Stats Set Your Damage Limit
A fragile character cannot maintain good damage for long. Maximum Life gives you more room when an attack lands, while resistance and armour help reduce the pressure from repeated hits. Reach the relevant defensive caps before sacrificing protection for a small offensive gain. Movement Speed also deserves attention. Faster repositioning means fewer lost attacks, cleaner elite fights, and less time standing in harmful areas. Cooldown Reduction, Attack Speed, and resource generation are build-specific, so judge them by how much they improve your actual rotation rather than by their headline value.
Let the Build Tell You What to Replace
There is no single stat package that suits every endgame character. A rapid-fire setup may value Attack Speed and Critical Strike Chance, while a cooldown-focused build may gain more from reduction and resource support. Change one or two pieces at a time, then test the result in the same activity. If survival is already comfortable, add damage. If your attacks feel strong but your character keeps falling over, spend the next upgrade on Life, armour, or resistance. That kind of measured adjustment makes cheap Diablo 4 Items more useful when you are filling a specific gap rather than replacing gear without a clear plan.
