E-waste means electronic goods trash and waste. Today, we throw 50 tons = US$62.2 billion worth of electronics each year. Less than 20% are recycled. This overloads the e-waste landfills in developing countries and causes contamination of soil and water and exposes local people to health risks.

Currently, we have produced 2 BILLION TONS of solid waste (food, paper, plastics) and at least 33% of them are not managed properly. It is assumed there will be 3.4 billion tons by 2050. We need to act to stop this waste overload!!!

We are wasting too much of the “Take -> Make -> Waste” Economy. This resource extraction causes 80% of biodiversity loss and 53% of world carbon emission. Shifting to a circular economy can reduce extraction and save biodiversity.
